Tax The Wealth is a simple informative website around the concept of taxing the wealth of the nation's top owners instead of just taxing their earnings - which is what most people seem to associate "tax the rich" with. 

Most of America's wealthy go through great lengths to make sure they don't have too much of what's considered earnings, so it's not like taxing their earnings was ever going to accomplish much any way. 

Our goal is to examine how and why the wealth disparity got to the point it has - to better understand what types of actions can be pursued or carried out to offset, reverse and/or fix it - and ensure it never happens again.

We have some thoughts, but we invite all others to share theirs as well. Think of Tax The Wealth as an Initiative-focused Think Tank. We want to open the dialogue and discussion in a way that we all come up with Think Tank like solutions and fixes, but then immediately identify the most popular ones and create an avenue for Tax The Wealth members to actually pursue them as well. Most of that part will be done through simple, community-based crowd-funding.
